The firm’s administrative leadership includes the following:
David S. Chi
David S. Chi is the Chief Operating Officer of the firm and is located in the East Bay office. He has over 32 years of experience in the legal industry and more than 20 years in law firm administration and operations management. Mr. Chi earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Davis and a Master of Business Administration degree from San Francisco State University.
Jill Nefkens
Jill Nefkens is Chief Administrative Officer for the firm and is located in the Long Beach office. She has more than 25 years of experience in all areas of Human Resources Management and more than 15 years of experience in the legal industry. Ms. Nefkens earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at San Diego. Ms. Nefkens also serves as the Chair of the Human Resources Advisory Board for CSULB’s College of Business Administration and volunteers as a mentor with CSULB’s Student Center for Professional Development.
Crystal L. Evers
Crystal L. Evers is the Controller of the firm and is located in the East Bay office. She has over 25 years of accounting experience, including 15 years with DWK. Ms. Evers earned her Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration and an accounting certificate from the University of California, Los Angeles Extension.
Alex Reed
Alex Reed is the Regional Office Administrator for the Long Beach, Fresno and San Diego offices. He has over twenty years of experience in all areas of Human Resources Management and Office Administration. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley and holds certifications as a SHRM-SCP and MBTI Certified Practitioner.
Luis Kischmischian
Luis Kischmischian serves as the Director of Business Development and Client Services at our Sacramento office. With 15 years of experience, he is an entrepreneurial marketing and communications strategist known for building robust brands and crafting engaging, impactful campaigns. Luis excels in business development and establishing new marketing infrastructures across major corporations, private offices, and universities. Mr. Kischmischian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, Masters in Leadership Managment and a Masters of Business Administration from Sacramento State.
Clara Lee
Clara J. Lee is the Accounting Manager of the firm and is located in the East Bay office. She has over 20 years of accounting experience in the professional services industry. Ms. Lee earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Corporate Finance and Financial Services from San Francisco State University.
Kim Everist
Kim Everist is the Regional Office Administrator for the San Francisco, East Bay and Sacramento offices. She has more than 20 years of experience in managing teams on the sports field, in the classroom and in an office environment. She spent 15 years at the National Team level in the sport of water polo, developing athletes for the Olympic level and served as the Women’s Technical Director for the Olympic Development Program. Ms. Everist has over a decade of legal experience as a legal assistant with an emphasis on transactional and land use law, and law firm administration for the last 5 years. Ms. Everist earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from Northeastern University and a Teaching Credential from Chapman University.
Cheryl L. Blaney
Cheryl L. Blaney is the Billing Supervisor of the firm and is located in the East Bay Office. She has 25+ years of experience in legal billing practices, legal billing software systems, and electronic billing systems. Ms. Blaney earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and Paralegal Certification from the East Bay Institute.
Tom H. Choi
Tom H. Choi is the Director of Information Technology of the firm and is located in the Long Beach office. He has over 25 years of experience in IT management, solution architecture, system administration, and client computing. Mr. Choi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from San Jose State University.
