Mid-sized education law firm with statewide practice representing school and community college districts seeks an Associate for its Business, Property and Construction Law Practice Group. If you are interested in joining a team that works on landmark cases, we encourage you to apply.
Candidates will be considered for the following DWK offices: Sacramento, East Bay, San Francisco, or San Diego
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in transactional and litigation matters, including some or all of the following qualifications:
- Public procurement/contract negotiation experience for a variety of types of construction-related contracts
- Property law experience, including drafting and negotiating leases, purchase and sale agreements, and other property acquisition and disposition processes
- Dispute resolution experience, including mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Flexibility, initiative, and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters arising in representing public entities
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks with attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently
- Excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills
- Admission to the CA State Bar
- Public agency experience is desired but not required

The anticipated annual salary wage range the Firm reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position is $130,000 to $175,000. The final annual salary wage offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience in the job, type and years of experience in the industry, education, and other factors.
